Worcestershire Royal Hospital opened in March 2002. The new hospital was built and equipped at a cost of £95 million under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI).

It has nine operating theatres, a large Accident & Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit, and specialist radiology and scanning facilities in 38,000 square meters of space. A total of 550 beds are provided including those in the refurbished blocks at Aconbury West and Aconbury East, part of the Newtown site which forms an integral part of the new hospital complex. St George's Healthcare NHS Trust,UK
St George's Healthcare NHS Trust provides general and acute services to a local population of over 600, 000 people living in south west London as well as a range of specialist services for patients from across London and the south east, linked to the teaching and research services of St George's Hospital Medical School. The trust's specialist neurological and cardiac facilities recently moved from the world renowned Atkinson Morley Hospital there is a £50 million Wing at St George's, providing the very latest care for these specialist patients.
